  Class Cancellations
  • CSMA reserves the right to cancel any class or workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Classes which have not met their minimum enrollment by the close of their "register by" deadline, will be cancelled. Should CSMA cancel a class for this reason, the office staff will notify all registered students by phone. Students are then entitled to a full refund.
  • Occasionally a class or ensemble meeting may be cancelled due to inclement weather or illness. In those cases, every reasonable effort will be made to schedule a make up session. If rescheduling is impossible, CSMA will offer pro-rated credit to be used within the calendar year.
Private Instruction
CSMA has offered private music instruction for over 40 years. The CSMA music faculty is a group of highly trained and experienced performers and instructors. The music program has several types of instruction including private lessons, master classes, workshops, classes and ensembles. CSMA students have opportunities to perform in recitals, master classes and at special events. In addition to private instruction in music, some private instruction in visual arts, language arts, and dance is available. If interested, please call the the school office to inquire.
  • When a student or parent calls The School for a referral to one of our instructors, our staff considers the prospective student's experience and needs, and the availability of various instructors, and makes the referral. It is then up to the student/parent and instructor to arrange a lesson day, time and length.

  Missed Lessons/ Make Up Lessons
  • Private Instructors at CSMA may set their own policies concerning student absences and the scheduling of make up lessons. Some teachers will charge you for missed lessons and others may excuse a certain number of absences per year. Instructors also vary in their ability to schedule make up lessons. Please ask your teacher for clarification of his/her policies when you begin lessons or resume them after a break.
